What does Fee-Only mean?

Sharkey, Howes and Javer, is a fee-only financial planning firm. Fee-only means that we accept compensation only from our clients – not from any other source. In other words, our clients are the only people we allow to pay us.

We chose fee-only financial planning and investment management to minimize bias from the advice we provide. Fee-only means that we do not sell any products, we are only paid for the advice clients receive and the assets the firm manages on behalf of its clients. Being a fee-only firm allows us to always do what is in the best interest of the client.
